I have to say that is my concern too.

I've seen some letters in the telegraph that underline this.

There doesn't seem to be much talk from the speed kills lobby about this report. Are they now going to change tack and find another stick with "speed kills" written on it to beat us with?

What have Brake! and T2000 said, if anything about this? There must be an awfull lot of back peddeling for them to do. They have accused Safespeed and it's supporters of being a bunch of speed freaks (Ladyman too), when if fact we just want better driving, which as it turns out appears to be the problem.

are there going to be any demographic (I think that is the right word) studies to see who's crashing and compare them against the profile of people who have been caught speeding on camera?

The 2005 road accident raw datasets were released today, but the contributory data isn't included (it's just STATS19).

2.28 Foreign Registered Vehicle

0 Not foreign registered vehicle
1 Foreign registered vehicle – left hand drive
2 Foreign registered vehicle – right hand drive
3 Foreign registered vehicle – two wheeler

Casualty Record

3.19 Pedestrian Injured in the Course of ‘On the Road’ Work
Work activity carried out on public road (eg. delivery services, road maintenance, traffic control)

0 No

2 Not known

Harp back to old quotes - "You can fool some of the people all of the time or all of the people some of the time , but you can't fool all of the people all of the time " --(Winstone Churchill) ---or --- "The truth will surely out " (said in a Buckie accent - )(my old Gran)
