Most of my friends say my driving is fine, but one constantly complains. He normally gets a reply of 'well who has a driving license' or something along those lines. I haven't driven my parents much, but I tend to be quite gentle with the accelerator with mum, but with dad I tend to be more normal. I usually ask a few minutes into a journey if they're comfortable enough and stuff like that...

My brother is in the car with me nearly every day, and he doesn't complain, although I think he knows better than to complain, as he can get a bus if he doesn't like it...

Mum does tend to hit the imaginary brake quite a bit, and she would also question my dabbing of the brakes at certain times. One good example was a caravan overtaking me with a solid white line to the right with a hatched area (2 lanes had just merged into 1) and I lifted off and dabbed the brake pedal, mum went to me 'don't brake', to which I replied, 'I'm driving at 45mph, he hasn't got much room, it's nicer to give him space.'

Something I notice with my gran is that she compares my driving to hers, for example she won't venture onto a motorway, and she doesn't like driving in traffic, so instead of taking the most direct route home one day I ended up having to go on the back roads, and I also managed to get 'lost' due to her directions  . She then insisted I turn the car around, which I didn't do, it was a s/c nsl road, with no turnings which I would want to have to take. Of course at the end of said road there was a nice roundabout, which had an exit to the way I wanted to go. :D

Several people have told me that although I drive faster than average, they feel safer with me than with most other drivers. One girl at college told me I was the first person she'd ever felt safe with. High praise indeed - and she had cracking tits too.

Having heard the above, I really don't take criticism too well, and tend to tell people they can always do the other thing if they don't like my driving.

I tend to follow the IAM principle of swift but stealthy progress.

Over the years I have driven many people but have never received any comment beyond my 80+ dad saying on one occasion "you drive quite fast".

At this point, on a sliproad, I was at least 10 mph below the speed limit.

Aren't you meant to stop and give way on slip roads?
