Now please forgive me if this feels like a plug, I am not involved with this company at all,

Basically, I understand that many speed camera jammers are the only real way to avoid tallivans raking the cash in. Laser detectors for instance, often beep but by the time you'e been warned, it may be too late.

However, I have come accross this on a popular speed camera website.

http://www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk/laserpropark.htm

Reading the link gives you all you need to know. But basically its a parking sensor and discreetly jams tallivan signals for a good 8 seconds or so (without providing a 'jam' error code on the gun.) What are peoples thoughts on this?

Why wouldn't you get one? What are the flaws? Do they attract too much attention?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Bit of a problem with Gatsos (which use radar) and Truvelo (which use road sensors).

Gatso and Truvelo can be avoided with a GPS based device such as an Origin B2 or Road Angel

The problem with anything resembling a jammer is that if you draw too much attention to yourself you'll eventually get a visit from the BIB, your vehicle impounded and inspected and a court summons for perverting the course of justice, which carries a much stiffer penalty than a speeding ticket.

Also that device has been around for a few years now. I'm sure someone's come up with a way around it.

Ive driven all over britain and more ( Im no goody two shoes with speed other than built up areas)and I have yet to miss a camera, Ive only been nicked for speeding 3 times in about 3 million miles once in Germany by cops when I was young and dumb, Once in uk when I wasnt :x ..by two dodgy cops and once on camera in a truck when they first started using sensors to detect trucks and I was doing 56 on a dual carriageway with 70 limit ( those dam sensors  ) so I wasnt ready for that one. So why would I need one of these things? Maybe if I had one of these things it would have prevented the cops nicking me along with the camera that wouldnt be affected by it   Paying attention saves being zapped, paying for gadgets is just paying for lack of attention so youll still get nicked. :D

The thing is though I know it varies nationally, but especially here in North Wales, almost ALL talivans are hidden behind trees and bushes. (very good business sense for maximising revenue)

Almost all talivans that I pass probably see the motorist before the motorist sees them. I find it odd when people claim they always see the cameras before them. Surely this isn't possible.

I take it you haven't been to North wales. :P

p.s... don't go either, the roads are getting more dangerous by the day with people round here focusing on their speedo's as opposed to the road ahead. Still, revenue comes first for these nazis. Causing death is merely something they can deny.

Touch wood -I find the HOHDD ( human optical hazard detecting device , or eye ) most effective - ( hint Gatsos look for white lines on pavement edge/or on road , Truvello -big yellow one eyed monster on pavement )
