hi i am looking for a few more law's to help my case the one i'm going to be using is the (section 14.4 "ten feet from the carriageway")..but i have read some where that on a dual carrage way there has to be a car on each side . does anyone know where i can find this ...it would help alot ..
as when i was snapped the car was parked on the other side of the roads ...thx in advance

the dual carriageway law from what i understand is a grey area, if the dual has a cross over point then it can be worked both ways

There is no law in this area.

There is only ACPO guidelines for the use of the equipment and also Home Office literature that requires the equipment to be used within the ACPO guidelines in order for the type approval to be valid.

It is not a well-tested area of law and is probably far too technical for most magistrates. They accept the S20 certificate of comformity at face value.

It is not "law" but to convict of speeding they must use a type approved device. not something they bought at maplins.

The type approval was granted by the home office scientic development branch who insist ACPO code of practice is followed as they did in thier type approval process.
