I find the graphs interesting, but not *all* revealing.
I should have said: they reveal some of the effect of scameras, but not the whole underlying effect of reducing driver standards to the level of speedo watching, scamera spotting, fools who think that staying under/travelling at a set speed, no matter what the situation/conditions is safe, coupled with the effect of reduced active Policing that might have provided useful intervention and advice in some circumstances, coupled with appropriate court actions should it be required in others to reduce actual risk in a real world sense!

Having had a two car crash next to me on the motorway this week, first car virtually stationary, second hit it all locked up at ~45mph (had been travelling at 70, a nice safe no endorsement/fine/brain dead to whats happening, speed), the problem is driver awareness and responsiblity, something that seems now to be missing from a lot of drivers.

That one will also go towards the serious stats, the ~12 year old girl in the back of the second car wasn't belted, was using scissors to cut up magazines, and had an A4 ring binder that sliced her face open, leaving her face/forehead from mid nose upwards a flap, along with the damage from hitting the passenger seat, and injuring that passenger too....
The driver merely kept complaining about where the belt had bruised her and the air-bag had stung her jaw!

Niel.

Niel, I'm not sure what you mean there. You can edit the original post if it's a typo.
