I certainly feel that that instant reaction you automatically apply when you feel the car moving must likely happen to with a bike.
When I was doing my bike training the very first emergency practice stop was so very wet that I started to slide and I just un-braked and reapplied and he was impressed as it was just automatic. So maybe some skills transfer and some abilities cross vehicles too.
To me that sounds like a cross transfer of cadence braking - well done for having the presence of mind to do it .I find that on a car fitted with ABS ,I can beat ABS partially , in normal weather( very seldom comes on -except on manhole lids) , and in snow - totally .
