Bro went for a ride with our cousins husband t'other day. He rides a newish SV650S which he dropped on a roundabout at low speed. He is like lightening on the straight and like a granny in the corners. He's thinking of trading up to a GSXR1000  . Bro thinks he should learn to ride the one he has got first.

So is sports bike on the road justified other than from a personal choice and fashion angle?

Why do you think there needs to be?

A few years ago some of my friends thought I had found a drug dealer who wasn't cutting his drugs before he sold them, and their reasoning for this was because I bought a Pontiac Firebird that would just about do 12mpg if I drove it like Miss Daisy.
In real life use it averaged around 9mpg, and on a decent stretch of tarmac it would drop to around 5mpg.

Now why did I choose a car that weighed almost 2 tonnes, didn't corner very well (especially in the wet), and cost me £45 per day in petrol to run?
Simple, I wanted one.

The same applies to anything in life, if somebody wants something and they can afford it, then why shouldn't they have it?
