Ah, umm........over users of Smileys!!!
Well I came in expecting everyone to be a bunch of anti cycling petrol headed self pleasures. After reading the posts, I am pleasently suprised, I shall now leave quietly and apologetically!

I agree, and ban the popcorn one completely: that really winds me up for some reason.

You should all be aware that the smileyholics are actually taking part in a Smileython, which raises money for charities, and SAFESPEED gets a donation too.
It has been explained before, but I hope somebody more knowledgeable than I will come along shortly and explain it again!

I like all Bikes, I use a mountain bike for work (5 year old Claude Butler Rock that I spend more time fettling than riding), have an old VItus framed road bike for commuting occaisonally (and maybe this summer I may do the odd local 10). Would love to be able to afford a recumbent bike or trike. Basically, any excuse to ride a bike I'll take.
Into the motorised type too. Have a Yamaha XTZ660R for work, however it is totally useless for the reason it was bought so I don't ride it much. Would prefer a 250 stroker or 400 enduro for that!

Actually I have a recipe for leftover popcorn from the cinema .. (My pet hate is WASTED FOOD actually .. especially littering the cinema with half eaten tubs..

We are serious riders - ride in many charity capers and have a aselection of bicycles which rival our affection for our cars.

We felt that we spent a bit much too much time chatting away and enjoyng ourselves - so family and pals read our posts and donate to a specific account we set up - we call it the spon&don account. Other people in the Swiss family and one of Ted's sisters supervise it and each month will send all cash raised for whatever charity we cycled or walked for as sponsored - plus divide up equally between othr good causes - including "safespeed" . The hits "competition mode" though and claws in a fair bit .. usually from herself in fines from us all
