On the day when our Tone resigns and states his legacy as "eudkayshun".. we give you.. the

degree in cycling
Derby University offers this new course.
Covers "all aspects of cycling"
Road racing
time trials
track cycling
mountain biking
Hey.. you forgot SPEEDWAY CYCLING .. the true SPORT in all this
British Cycling are excited .. to point of chafing chamois over all this
But this course is dedicated to those who coach.
That means C+ idiots will not make the grade then

Shame. It would have kept them occupied for a couple of years

at least.
The course includes the following
pyschology and attitude
physiology
nutrition

But IG has already sorted this in his "wonder foods blog" - complete with some nice recipes to try and test and taste
He can cook by the way. He can make a meal out of whatever he finds in his larder or fridge or freezer.

We know. We have surprised him and his wife on occasion by just turning up for a socialising

We all like cooking. I enjoy cooking with my wife. It's intimate moments of family life after all.. and IG asked around the family for ideas on that thread which we intend to continue as a family group.. but we think a gourmet

might actually educate everyone who reads and lurks too
But I mention this for comment. Is this a valuable course given we already have sports and a plethora of "healthy lifestyle" courses
I question its value to this sport as well
Will this degree course spawn legendary cycling greats for our country?
Or promote an interest in cycling for health and commute benefits?
I am not necessarily knocking this course.. and any input from the dedicated cyclists who post to the cycling fora will be most welcome.
For record and to encourage.. no one on this board "hates or disrespects" those who choose to use a bicycle to get around. Theyare fellow road users and their input on any topic is very welcome.
People may disagree .. but then this should be a respectful difference of opinion and no insult should be intended nor taken.
Let us just say .. we all want to enjoy driving and riding. And whilst I appear to question this degree course.. I am only asking the normal questions as would be asked by any member of the public. I definitely do not want our lurks to see this post intended as anything remotely negative.
