I gather this is phase one of a series of cycle trails and routes which aim to provide a safe, leisurely and ultra -scenic commuter route for Bolton cyclists in the future.

I think a cheering photo and one which will enthuse many to at least try out the trail and who knows? Perhaps they will be inspired enough to book a course with Bike Right's "Chris" and via him.. complete a successful Bikeability to boost that confidence to ride on the roads too.
No one is anti-cycling.. motor cycling, 4x4 driving or HGV driving on this site . All are pro safety without menace over very minor "transgressions" by
any road user
On this site we are pro sharing our roads.. courteously and safely .. and without compromising "enjoyment of each chosen mode of transport"
I mention this because the piece is celebrating the opening of a cycle route which links Bolton to other areas without using a road used by them nowty drivers
It is not a piece posted up to say "see .. you eco-warriors use this route and clear orf our streets
".. but simply to congratulate Bolton for making a very pleasant and scenic route to enjoy.. for commuter and leisure purposes.
If it encourages more to ride .. even for leisure and then progressing to occasional commute within an individual's reason . then all to the positive good.
