Can anybody help??
I assume I drove in a 30 zone at 42mph.
I was instructed in by a gent in blue after being flgged down, where I was duly shown a black box device on a tripod, with 2 small LCD displays left and right.
One displayed 42 another displayed 974 were I was informed "speed and feet mate"
I was then passed over to a female PC (no WPC's anymore) who informed me of the impending 3 kisses and a fine and took my license off me there and then as I admitted to having it with me..
11 days later I've already produced my docs at the local station and was reading the PCN sheet for the many 100'th time getting madder and madder and I noticed there is no time filled in. The date and Reg no and everything else is there but no time.

So my query is Do I accept my fate as experience OR do I take it to magistrates, explain that I'm not convinced I was actually speeding as I've not seen any photographic evidence and can the Police actually prove it, as there is not actually a time on the PCN sheet

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Pop over to www.pepipoo.com for the best advice...

Intreagued by the license bit though - I didn't know they did that (having never seen a "real" cop on the road  ). What do they do with it, as you presumably might say you want your case heard in court?

You should NEVER give them your licence, they have no power to take it there and then. I was pulled once with a disintergrating caravan and the nice patrol man explained that although I had my licence with me I could either give it to them there and then or post it, they had no polwer to take it on the spot. I gave it to them there and then but its seen an an admission of guilt and if you do you cant contest the offence. Thats the situation as I understand it.

My dad had his taken away after an alleged crossing of a double white line.

He had to hassle various people to get it back (he needed it for car hire abroad) after deciding to contest the allegation.

Never heard anything else about it, presumably they would still have his licence today (5 yrs later) if he hadn't get shirty about it.
