I've just realised that the conditional offer of fixed penalty that I accepted (whilst writing on it that I wasn't admitting to being the driver or to any offence) was sent to me more than 6 months after the alleged offence was committed.

I've been led to believe this means the COFP was invalid. Do I have any redress to getting the conviction squashed?

I rather think that paying the damn thing was a fatal mistake. i.e. you now have no (realistic) redress.

But do get along to Pepipoo and ask in the forums there: http://www.pepipoo.com

Good luck.
