 Post subject: Endorsement of licence

I'm due in court but my UK licence is with another country's authority as I'm moving to Ireland and echanging it for an Irish one. Question: Can it be endorsed by the court even though they do not have the physical licence? That is, do they contact the DVLC and instruct them to aply the points?
