The best site for this sort of thing is
http://forums.pepipoo.com .
What I will say is that you needn't worry about the criminal record side of things, as speeding is not a criminal offence that you need to disclose, even if it goes to court. If it was then we wouldn't have many lawyers, doctors etc left by now!
And sadly the 6 month rule applies to when the papers are laid at the court, and this has clearly happened on time. There's nothing you can do now on that front.
There are certainly things you can still try, although you would have had a better chance of success if you'd asked on forums back in April. I'm no legal expert so I'll leave further suggestions to others on here and Pepipoo.
Try not to worry though; if you're convicted (which to be honest is likely because the system is arguably biased against those charged with speeding), you'll only get a fine of around £100 and 3-4 points (undesirable I know but hardly the end of the world). Many people are picking up points these days, and it's become so meaningless that your insurance may not even go up.

"The freedom provided by the motor vehicle is not universally applauded, however: there are those who resent the loss of state control over individual choice that the car represents. Such people rarely admit their prejudices openly; instead, they make false or exaggerated claims about the adverse effects of road transport in order to justify calls for higher taxation or restrictions on mobility."
