I borrowed a friends company van, and he has received a letter requesting details of the driver when I had it as I have been caught speeding doing 40 mph in a 30 zone by a marked police van parked up. However the letter gives the wrong road name for the offence, the road in the letter is 1.62 miles away and I was definitely not at the location they gave as I have double checked the correct names on a map and the route I took.
Any advice? My thought is that I could contest this as they will not have evidence of my offence at the location they state...where do I go from here?

Get along to pepipoo and seek advice there.

Read this first

Fill out the NIP wizard If the road locale is totally wrong it should be easy to defeat. But you will get the best advice there.
