Nicycle - that was my opinion,too-but , at present in this SCP area , we have Gatsos set at 40/60 on SC roads - how long before the profits dry up and they start looking for 40/50/60 and then even figuring out a way to do it with other types - on here someone who knows says "get real " -ok, gets a little embarrassing- but it only costs a little -as opposed to £60 and 1/4 licence.

well not heard anything yet and it was april 1st when it happened yes really (i Know).....

I know ignorance is no defence, but, what a learning curve...., and I wonder how many people fall into same trap, doing somene a favour in the spur of the moment??

Ok Here goes:

Speed limit on single carriageway for 7.5 tonners is 50, at 10% allowance you are ok at 55. (just)

Gatso cameras now have software in them that can distinguish the size of your vehicle, this has been the case for a few years now.
i`ve been caught twice whilst not exceeding the limit for the road but for my vehicle, wont happen again though as it cripples my insurance payments.

As for the tacho issue, if there is one fitted in the vehicle you have to use it, exceptions include domestic hours/distance rules.
you were 100 miles from your destination so you were well out of the 50 km limit for domestic so should have used the tacho. Although the hire and reward card can be played if necessary.

You have got away with this mate IMHO
