Money can be made from this, because you may be forced to buy this equipment and it be checked on MOT's!
This is the most dangerous thing I've ever heard, not only because it will cause people to switch off mentally, it makes perfectly safe overtaking manouvres far more dangerous. I don't know about you, but if I'm driving in good conditions on a single carriageway on say a 50 limit and someone is going in front at 40 or less, if its safe to do so, I overtake. I could in theory hit around 70 mid-overtake, but I don't suddenly back off the throttle straight away so I'm on the wrong side of the road for less time. Its only once I'm on the correct side of the road that I will reduce my speed to something closer to the limit as I don't want to be on the wrong side of the road for longer than I have to be.
Beware doing this - some mobile talivans position themselves to take advantage of this - there were 2 in Derbyshire the other Sunday.
Both positioned where the road goes straight and people who wish to travel at the national speed limit may wish to briefly exceed this to pass the Sunday drivers doing 45.
And yes, people get done for this.
