Just looked at the Talivan schedules on the CSCP website - completely blank for this week and next week :o

I reckon they're too lazy to have updated it, but you never know :D :D

Maybe they could not work out what time to put down because of the hour going forward? Or are they on strike today?

The fixed cameras are exempt from the schedule - it stops tourists from avoiding paying the toll.
A customer was caught last week, 44 in the limit at Ings, he says, according to the NIP.
He's paid up already, but is now looking into why APCO 40 + 10% + 2 has not been enforced.
They must need the money badly!

Have you seen the big blue signs (already out of date) advertising the casualties on the A591 Kendalian?

There were 17 put up in total, at a cost of £36,000 - over £2000 each!
Apparently the signs and posts will last 60 years... so they dont see any prospect of the casualties going down for a while then.

Have you seen evidence of this? AFAIK no SCP in the UK operates any type of camera below the ACPO guidelines.

The Speedfinder-General was always claiming that 'his lot' never issued an NiP for less than limit +10%+2.
There are some who woulod be so disgusted at a NiP for 44 in a 40 that they'd shread it, then shread the follow-up, then not accept any summons (recorded delivery) and see what would happen after that. Would they really try to serve the summons several times and issue an arrest warrant for such a totally trivial matter and transport a drive hundreds of miles to face the magistrates? Oh, quite probably, after all, they do have their priorities right, despite increasing casualty levels  .

First thing I asked Gareth! He had already paid his toll, so no longer has the paperwork, but is absolutely certain it was 44 mph and my query has triggered a response - he is going to query the NIP, and ask for a refund if appropriate.
He is an ex-army driving instructor, and swears he will now drive with his eyes on the speedometer, with an occasional glance at the road ahead :(

It's now been updated. Anyone know where the U1107 is :?:

Tomorrow marks the 3rd anniversary of CSCP existence, 1st of April being an appropriate day

I feel another FOI request coming to test their performance over 3 years. I'll keep you all posted

I hear a local resident has pleaded to have his ticket scrapped because he signed the petition which helped introduce the 40 limit through Ings!

The speed finder general himself told him they are catching 30 motorists a day speeding! And it's not even the peak tourist season yet!
I have made them flash twice, without an NIP, and have seen others trigger them.
Apparently this because they have been set to flash at 41 mph!!
