The fight against the road insecurity is a priority of the Prefecture of Police force. In complement of the necessary actions of repression which fall on to him, [enforcement measures!] the Prefecture of Police force is strongly required, throughout the year, in operations intended to sensitize the public with the necessary compliance with the road safety requirements.
Thus, at the time of the seventh edition of the National Week of the Road safety, which will be held this year of Monday October 16 to Monday October 23, the Prefecture of Police force conceived, in partnership with many associations, a series of actions of communication and sensitizing of general public to the compliance with the road safety requirements around two principal topics:

Lastly, other operations and animations in didactic matter will be organized in various districts of the capital: for example, on Saturday October 21, in the 6th district, the public will be able to test the “testochoc” and it “barrel conveys” intended to prove the effectiveness of the belt of safety at the time of an accident.

Now visiting Old Folks Homes to lecture them on the dangers of traffic, would be a good idea in Britain - giving them the skills to protect THEMSELVES from harm, but I cant see it catching on - similarly targetting MALE youths in Schools.
Any thoughts or experiences of other countries policies from which we might learn - European or other?
The two wheeled vehicle incidentally, is aimed at the large numbers of scooters which below a certain size, are not required to be registered, and are a favourite with youngsters.
