Paul, do you know John Gaunt called you an idiot once you had said your piece. I wouldn't go back on his show.

He also called him a crackpot over the issue of speed cameras outside schools. What John Gaunt doesn’t realise is they would only be effective during three periods of the day 5 days a week, and even then only if you could go fast enough, which around where I live you be lucky if you can get past the school at all.

WTF is John Gaunt?

Edit: googled him, and first pertinent listing described him as a 'tosser'.

I wouldn't get too upset about what John Gaunt said.
He seems to be a fair enough bloke and at least he is part of the way there.
It is better to convince him that little bit more than to ignore him.
It was the driving instructor who rubbished your thoughts about taking your eyes off the road to look at the speedo.
He said ''you have to take your eyes off the road to look in your mirrors every 5 seconds or so'' .
Maybe he has pictures of his family in his mirrors but I tend to see the surroundings (road) in mine.
Plus you're peripheral vision is still picking up the road ahead when looking in your mirrors.
Wouldn't pay him for lessons.
