Sept 3rd 08 - Press Interview re : Report carried out by Cam Partnership indicating that the cameras, are 'working' as speed has been reduced, proved as they carried out a survey where they observed drivers speed, for a year !

I carefully pointed out, that as : (they confirmed that), the cameras were in place at Gatso sites, and also that the Camera Van, was also present when they 'observed' the drivers speed, that this influenced drivers behaviour.
Drivers are of course going to drive at, or close to the limit, when they pass by the cameras and vans. Their 'observed' research is fundimentally flawed!
To do this research properly they would have to do this, observation from a location, where NO cameras, or vans exist, as well as in many locations to 'prove' the point - or not ... of course ...
