On page 13 of this month's "Bike" magazine, a picture from Victoria, Australia showing a standard grey wheelie bin by the road-side.
Closer examination reveals a square cut-out, about 6" x 6", in one side, and lifting the lid shows a full speed-trap kit in situ.

In fairness, the Australian attitude to speeding is completely different to ours. Speed limits within urban areas are low and are strictly enforced - the majority will stick to the limit. Outside of urban areas there are no limits at all. The compromise (similar to that found in Germany) is that you behave in the high risk areas and are allowed the freedom to set your own pace everywhere else.
