Speed camera changes

Hundreds of speed cameras have been switched off as local council budget cuts take effect.

Camera sites are being reduced or scrapped in Staffordshire, the West Midlands, Northamptonshire, Somerset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

But Oxfordshire, which pulled the plug on 160 fixed and mobile cameras last year, has turned them back on.

Police there say speeding, accidents, injuries and fatalities all rose during the eight months the cameras were switched off - making them determined to find a way to fund them.
I wonder how many are actually going to be 'on' and how many are going to become digital ?
