Some crime stats were released for Portsmouth today, but there was in interesting road accident tidbit. After hailing a 92% drop in accidents earlier in the year it seems that it was an obvious play on statistics. The paper only made a small comment (compared to half a page on some dodgy camera stats a few weeks back), but quite how they didn't notice the figures don't add up I don't know!

edit: Also, I don't know what the heck RTA's are doing in a crime stats table!

Might there be an overlap between serious RTAs and gay-hate crime?

Or maybe not :?
