Bet he gets off with tis stupidity, and rightly the public WILL BE PISSED OFF there one law for the rich another for the poor and another for coppers.

Ought to be sacked banned and inprisoned for his cheek.

15 years ago I was a van driver. Never had a problem stopping a fully laden van from speeds in excess of those displayed on the speedometer. Some of the vans were pretty ropey examples, ABS was something we could only dream of.

Now if it was badly loaded then somebody wants one of IG's acid lectures. There is no excuse for dumping all the gear over the rear wheels.

I'm surprised nobody has asked why he did not know the camera was there.

It sounds like his attention was well and truly diverted elsewhere. I'd also be asking WHY he was in such a rush, as I suspect he thought he had a reason to speed - unless he was just testing out the vehicle's handling at speed....!
I know this road - 40 mph is pushing the envelope of safety, under every circumstance - there are too many drunken or inattentive pedestrians along this stretch. It leads back towards the University and Halls of residence, if they have been out to an outlying pub or hotel.
