Passed by this section a few times in the last couple of days.....and something caught my eye.

On the East bound carriageway (Perth >>> Dundee) the inside lane camera at the FIRST set of SPECS has NOT been connected up...or certainly the engineer FUBAR'd the installation.

How do I recon this? Well the flexible conduit from the mounting to the back of the camera if simply "blowin' in the wind" - NO cables, no wires, no connection. Looks a bit like this - but the thick connector is just dangling. Image

If anybody knows who to contact for an FOI regarding the 'operational status' of the 8 or 9 SPECS cameras I might be inclined to rattle some cages, catch them in a web of lies.

Another bit of 'evidence' is a friend who is a member of the coastguard sped through two sets going WEST (Dundee >>> Perth) at around :70: in this controlled :40: zone over 3 weeks ago in his personal vehicle on the way to a shout (missing person in river)...and has heard nothing about the infraction.

I think we're maybe being lied to.

I don't have access to a video camera - but wouldn't it show up the IR lights on the cameras as big white blobs on screen if there is indeed power to the SPECS?

Looking through the display of any digital camera should show it up. (Including mobile phone cameras)

Or at least my mobile phone camera can show me the light from an infra-red remote control.

Yeh...don't really fancy getting 'done' for playing with the moby and I never have a passenger on that route.
