It looked totally plausible, till I logged on to Amazon to find my account still accessible, but the first warning was that I was addressed on Amazon by my Sunday & banking title, not Dave. Then there's the verification link.
Here's the text,
"Dear
Your Amazon account including order (#206-520728-378921) has been placed on hold as we require further verification to allow us to process your order in a timely and secure manner.
We are unable to verify your address as your card issuer has declined your payment. Your amazon account is now under review and has been temporarily locked until you complete the folowing verification checks.
Verification Link
Your account will remain limited until we can verify your identity and aim to have this resolved within 48 hours. Failure to verify your account within 24 hours will consequently mean your account being permanently closed.
