DVLA scam email warning

Watch out for emails claiming to be from the DVLA asking you to verify your driving licence details via an online link – it's a scam.

The DVLA has not sent any such email, so if you get one delete it immediately.

This is a copy of the email that is circulating:
False email wrote:

From: DVLA
Subject: Update Your License Details

We are currrently upgrading our database and all drivers are required to update and verify there driver's license details. To complete your license verification with us, you are required to fill out the form in the link below.

{Fake link}

Drivers that refuses to upgrade his or her details within two weeks of receiving this verification email will lose his or her driver's License and will have to take a fresh driving test.

We sincerely apologise for any inconviniences this might have caused you.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Please remember to never clink on anything that you are not 100% sure of.

56 years after it was decided it was needed, the Bedford Bypass is nearing completion. The last single carriageway length of it.We have the most photogenic mayor though, always being photographed doing nothing

Would that this was true. However!

Even "Official" UK.GOV sites are riddled with Typos, Grammer bloopers, Pidgen English and whatever!

I am no grammer/spelling expert, But I am also not publishing websites for a Major Global Government.

I am actually Embarrassed by UK.GOV websites! Other people from around the world are looking at them! What must they think?? :(

Think that this bit of info is over the limit for Official l Secrets act, so here goes. Yonks ago , my BIL was on secondment to a FCO post in New Zealand, where a British Naval Vessel was attempting to "find" an island off the NZ coast. I was a GPO bloke on night duty ,and decided to have a free call to pass the time- after all what was a call to NZ -no checks on official lines- it was all free . BIL told me that he might have to go out to "help" UK warship find the island. And today, we're worried about a Typo etc on a HMG website .

My views do not represent Safespeed but those of a driver who has driven for 39 yrs, in all conditions, at all times of the day & night on every type of road and covered well over a million miles, so knows a bit about what makes for safety on the road, what is really dangerous and needs to be observed when driving and quite frankly, the speedo is way down on my list of things to observe to negotiate Britain's roads safely, but I don't expect some fool who sits behind a desk all day to appreciate that.

And "...to update and verify there driver's details"

Does anyone else get the senders ACTUAL email address displayed like mine?
Amuses me when an email purporting to be from Paypal or similar is actually from "azia123@grossman.za" especially when they send 3 copies with cc's for a dozen other recipients!
