More than 20,000 people visited accident and emergency in a year after falling out of bed.

A spokesman for BHAKE (Bed Height Accentuates Killing Encounters) said. "This carnage cannot go on. Immediate legislation is required to ban bed manufacturers from making beds whose top surface is more than 20cm above the floor. A system of Inspectors would have power to enter any bedroom and remove beds which do not conform to the new legislation. We need a culture in which the idea of sleeping in a high bed is as unthinkable as drunk driving."

A representative of bed manufacturer Slumber-eze responded: "It would be enormously expensive to retool to meet the proposed legislation. And most people store things under the bed . If all that material was left to clutter the bedroom the number of tripping up accidents would increase enormously"

A RoSPoo spokesman dismissed this: "Safety cannot be measured in financial terms", he said, "Think of the children. Future generations will look back in horror at children sleeping in bunk beds, a meter and a half above the ground, just as we abhor the nineteenth century practice of allowing children to work in mines and factories. If it saves one life...."
:D :D

Maybe women over 80 don’t fall out of bed, they get pushed. :D

Maria nearly shoved me out of bed on the floor the once with her pointy elbow because I did a little snore after one or two tipples that evening. :x

How come snorers never wake themselves up anyway? On an outing I went on, in a bunkhouse with some friends, there were two snorers and the noise was just incredible! On par with a pigs squeal being slaughtered I would say. I don’t know how women put up with it :?

Did you know on average a woman falls out of bed every nine minutes in the UK? She said she's getting really fed up of it! :P

:coat:
