Prescripton Windscreens for cars !

“Constantly having to swap your glasses or remember to bring along a pair for driving? Do away with the hassle, as Auto Windscreens, innovators in automotive glazing, has successfully launched its first prescription windscreen. The ingenious creation has been the result of pioneering research and development from the company’s state-of-the-art factory, based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Having been successfully tested by the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship driver Tom Chilton, the young glasses-wearer has fitted his car with the prescription windscreen for the new 2010 racing season, due to start on 4th April.”

The AA man with the jet pack wasn't bad but a lttle unsubtle.

The one in the Indy about converting the Circle line to another large hadron collider was pretty good too.

The Radio 4 "Shakespeare was French" article was pretty funny.

Wouldn't work, the gear would get stripped out by 'recyclers' as fast as it was installed. Anything they cannot recycle such as optical fibre would be chopped up into convenient lengths ready for disposal.

OT - can remember when few people ( even those in parts of Scotland) could understand him .Mrs B has never had any problems ( possibly as even after nearly 40 years down south ,I'm still as broad as ever) .

Best April fools one I ever saw was on TV years ago - a "new" building was shown -in fact it was a building turned upside down .
