All,

If any of you happen to be driving on the A470 in North Wales (specifically near Dolwyddelan and the Conwy valley), beware that if you do a spot of overtaking, your photo might be taken by someone in the vehicle you've overtaken, and the photo uploaded to Flickr (as, remember, overtaking is illegal, innit?):

This person seems to be intolerant of any overtaking, and relishes anyone getting caught by speed cameras. Sadly, I encounter his/her sort most of the time if I'm in N Wales (I live in mid Wales).

Richard

Don't worry. Pretty soon, if the idiot who wants DVLA records to be public data gets his way, you will be able to go round and remonstrate with him yourself. :D

So he is taking your photo while overtaking him, which means he is not in full control of his vehicle.
This is what he has written on his Flickr profile page

When it is 30, I do 29, and can't be arsed if who is behind Flash me !

Respect the Limit, or Die.. but do it without my Family.

I think this boy has a lot to learn.

Apparently not. He/she claims to have been driving a LHD van at the time, and the photos were taken by a front-seat passenger.

.

Perhaps ,just ,perhaps ,you might be doing road safety a favour ,by having a quiet chat with one of those gents in a white police cap -they're found driving things like Volvos etc .I've always found them to like to get info like that . They don't usually say much ,but chummy often sits high on their hit list .

He complains about a car overtaking him when he was doing 59, but in reality it was probably more like 54.

And the car was a Toyota Yaris - I didn't think those did above 60 anyway ;)

Quite. If he's got that many vehicles overtaking him, then surely something isn't quite right somewhere? I've found drivers like him to be downright dangerous and a menace.

Another reason to drive a car with enough grunt to get round prats like this whatever they try and do; it's only a short step from this kind of behaviour to 'blocking tactics'.
