1) Does anybody know how (if) I can get the sat-nav to boot up directly to "Map" (IYSWIM)

I have a Kenwood DNX7200 and a little Nuvi thing.(Both Garmin software) It is REALLY BLOODY IRRITATING that they both halt the boot up sequence in order to present the "I acknowledge that fiddliing witn the sat nav while driving might kill me/others" screen that I have to push (several!) buttons to get past!

The ONLY TIME I have EVER fiddled with the sat-nav once under way is to get to "Map" on those occasions where I havent waited for the boot up to complete before moving off and find myself having to go through this stupid sequence!

:x :x :x

2) Does anybody know if there is any diference between the update Map data sold by Garmin (Euro wide NT whatever) and through Kenwood?

Appart from the fact that one SD card seems to be TWICE the price of the other there doesnt really seem to be any information!

Cheers!

It should go off in a few seconds without any acknowledgment.

56 years after it was decided it was needed, the Bedford Bypass is nearing completion. The last single carriageway length of it.We have the most photogenic mayor though, always being photographed doing nothing

Nope, they both remain stuck on the "Blue screen of Lawyers" untill the OK/I Agree button is pushed.

bit like windows instalations that insist that you click a "User name" before starting up even when you are the only user!

Very annoying!

Doesn't it have a "would you like to be annoyed by this screen every time" question?
