Here's one for the credit crunch. Check the "Reject" trays at the Mersey Tunnels. I found £1.50 in it today. Basically, some people are so timid/confused that they just throw more money in the slots, rather than getting out of the car to get their money back. It might cause a bit of a delay to the other drivers, but you're better off checking to see if you can find anything. I'll do it every day now.

PS: If you really want to save big money, buy a battery powered hair trimmer, on sale at Lidl's. No need to spend good money (and time) at the barbers.
