That's the title of a book I have got about half-way through. Written by a serving police inspector. Final line:
Quote:
I drive away, leaving another small part of me on the street

Beg a copy from someone.
You'll be amazed......

From the blog below:
Quote:
On Wednesday, I arrived to find a police Dog Handler in the rear yard. His Dog was named Ralph.

Ralph was dressed in doggy boots, a yellow Kevlar doggy jacket and had a camera strapped to his collar. He looked miserable in his new kit.

Even the 21st Century Police Dog is now accountable, protected and highly visible.

Ralph looked ridiculous and from his expression, he felt the same way. Ralph is no longer allowed to bite violent or fleeing criminals in case they take him (or more accurately the Ruralshire Chief Constable) to the European Court of Human Rights

And after a depressing read, comes this.
Hot from the vdu: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/09/15/road_sign_review/
GUARANTEED to make you sweat buckets. More road signs. Betters road signs. CO2 friendly road signs.

56 years after it was decided it was needed, the Bedford Bypass is nearing completion. The last single carriageway length of it.We have the most photogenic mayor though, always being photographed doing nothing
