56 years after it was decided it was needed, the Bedford Bypass is nearing completion. The last single carriageway length of it.We have the most photogenic mayor though, always being photographed doing nothing

Of course the people producing this report would be one of the 17,000,000, wouldn't they?

Wow! They are starting to sound like Jehovah's Witnesses! :o

17 Million is way too high......!

In the Uk with the population at over 60 Million the density is about 900 people per square mile. In France its about half that.

Look at some of the western states of the US such as Wyoming and you are down to about 4 people per square mile and that is not the lowest.....no wonder I like it there so much.

Europe is overpopulated and the UK is one of the worst places for population density. Not helped by the fact that most of our manufacturing industry jobs are moving to Poland but most of the migrant workers are comming from Poland to the UK. Something sometime has to give.

The cracks are forming. The splinter-groups are growing and the sandalistas hate the lentilistas and everyone hates the tree-huggers. Pretty soon the governments won't know whose pseudoscientific drivel to justify their highway robbery with.
Enter Taxable State Fear No.137 - Earth is overdue a large meteoritic impact by about 5 million years - we need to gather ourselves to defend against swarms of Near-Earth Objects (NEO's) that could threaten house-prices in California. The technology will cost zillions, blah, blah, blah...(fades to white noise, as ever.)

Same tax, different sh!t...

Cynical, moi? Well I'm certainly seldom disappointed!
