I'm astounded that they managed to lose 27 vehicles. I wonder how many were liveried.

Yes. And I wonder how many items were stolen from "part time police stations" which formally would have had 24 hour manning, but are now reduced to 10 'til 3, 3 days a week or some such?

Two possibilities...

1) the dogs got the sent and bolted......plod could not keep up. Criminal and dog living in luxury in Spain

2) Three of the cars that went missing were dog units.

On the other hand - no mention of lost PCSOs - so presumably the policy ( as seen locally 0 of sending them out in pairs ( one knows how to get where they're going ,the other works out how to get back) is working . :evil:

Unless of course they've all got locked in a cupboard that day .
