There was a case in Australia still going years later, where a Judge who tried to get out a $75 speeding fine by claiming others were driving including a women that has passed away.

Ended up paying a lot more then the $75 fine, which included being charged with other crimes, losing his job, being in the media etc etc

Yes. Interesting case. Judge Einfeld was his name. Not the only Australian doing this, though. There was a spate of such incidents, I seem to recall.
