A pee- cee council has its head up its :censored: where the sun don't shine again..

Staff at Kirklees Council have been told not to use the term "politically correct because the term could be as offensive as the Ku Klux Klan" ...

Truest words always said in jest..

Und those heard using the term could find themselves hauled before some diversity und equality committee to explain themselves....

(I thought Kirklees was over the Pennines to to the South of us und not in Old GDR... )

The staff have been given a weighty tome of 44 pages which ist not to gather dust on bookshelf .. spelling out strictest insturctions as to how they are to behave at work und what words they can use ind not use...

Erm... I thought we fought a war against the Nazis und Commies to safeguard our freedom of speech..

per the book#

Quote:

Use of the phrase "political correctness" ist at best factual annoyance und at worst a direct physical attack

 :? :? :?

:censored: :banghead:

Und workers are not to use the words

fireman... policeman... chairman ... because

Quote:

they exclude wimmin

:censored: B:censored: condescending prats

How DARE they assume that a woman like me ist at all offended by a word which has the word "man" as COLLECTIVE NOUN...

Do they not understand ENGLISH GRAMMAR ... or any grammar.

First class degrees in how to be a complete pillock :banghead:

Ethnic ist another taboo word.. as not
Quote:

appropriately descriptive

Thier own leader now faces a dsiciplinary by daring to call the document "overzealous"

Worst of all .. they frittered away council taxpayers haerd earned cash on this total garbage - full of the blindingly obvious as regards petty bullying at work.. und mostly ridiculous nonsense as highlighted above.. :furious:

Total :censored: planks!

I had an IT contract at a local council a year or so ago, and I went out of my way to say words that were frowned upon by the pee cee berks.

I took great delight in seeing their reactions, knowing full well that they couldn't do anything to me!

:D

So the PC head of the dept head for PCness in a PC council may be disciplined (no doubt in a PC manner) because the PC dept. issued a document about being PC, but not calling it PCness, and he was unPC enough to describe said PC document as being 'over zealous'.

Brings a new meaning to the phrase - " got to get my PC fixed" ,and "that person (being PC ) is a PC expert". And of course can we call our BIB PCs or WPC any more ??

I think there use to be a song about someone being on love with WPC Hodges..

Obviously no longer PC

I heard Radio Two this lunch time.. about Guy Fawkes and the fact that a London Council claims "they did Guy Fawkes last year"

So with that in mind.. - they have spent £75K on a Bonfire Night without Guy Fawkes and Remember remember the fifht of November, gunpowder, treason and plot.. "

\Instead .. some foreign thing to make the ethnics ( er whatever we are now supposed to call 'em.. now  ) feel at 'ome!

Local MP .. yep - Galloway  referred to

Quote:

Those fools in the town hall.. what next? Ban Christmas "because we did that last year

Oh sure .. we are multicultural and perhaps richer as a culture.as a result ... but we do not and should not sacrifice our own history and culture in a bid to be seen as "culturally correct" .. assuming this is "acceptable" .. and peeeeeeeeeeeee-ceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

The Swiss are Catholics.. and I admit to being brought up as a Catholic choir boy  .. and Fawkes was making a stand for the Catholic faith after all... but what the heck.. tis all as Galloway(fellow Catholic) said in the past.. and part of a history which we Brits celebrate as "victory over the terrorist of the day" This country is Anglican Church of England with its Queen as the head of this Church. Thus an important celebration of this nation whatever view we take on religion. But predominantly - UK is a Christian country with christian morals and ethics.. which have formed the foundation and laws within our civilised and very tolerant society.

Galloway is right this time. Only an idiot denies our heritage!

Long live the UK and its pomp and glory!

Never mind, IG, if i decide to celibrate Nov 5 ( bonfire night ,on that day ) , and if i can find a Police Constable ( not a PVCSO) ( thats a Plastic Version of a Police Suport Officer) ,and having convinced them that my bonfire meets the LA safety laws ( and it has not been soaked by our local fire lot) ,i can then be reasured that the said officer will uphold my right to celibrate the festival, without deciding that it might upset some of our ethnic community who are not aware of the history of this nation??

They actually banned "chairman"

Considering that the meaning of the word is to do with "managing" the chair and has no sexual preference shows just how stupid they are.

I once read another humourous text about this same subject and how all words ending in "man" should be changed to end in "person". So Fireman becomes Fireperson.

But this leads to another conundrum, person. Son is a male dirivative so it must be changed.

So... Fireman becomes Fireperthing.

Makes perfect sense, let's legislate! :D
