Now, where have I done that?

I do seem to remember a discussion about railways...

As Gatsobait said, you seem to find people who agree with you on many issues and then piss on their chips when they disagree with you on *anything*.

Yes, I asked you a question which I didn't think was particularly unreasonable and you jumped down my throat. I call that rude. You might find your chips weren't getting knocked out of your hands and stamped on and you getting a kicking if you didn't do it to others first. Point out errors by all means - I made one in my earlier post and I'm fine with your correctoin, though I don't appreciate the way you put it. A simple "No Gatsobait, I'm talking about..." would have done fine.

As for your previous ban... first you're the one who keeps bringing it up. I certainly never mentioned it except that I did comment on what seems like a pointless feud. Second, nothing to do with me anyway. I'm not a mod and I'm not sure I was even a member here at the time (registered yes, but membership?). Same goes for Pistonheads apart from I only registered there recently and didn't even know that you'd been banned there too.

Tsk, tsk.

Did I brand someone as a fellow traveller of Transport2000 in a discussion about railways?

If I did, I do apologise.

But, then again, are you sure that people weren't assuming they were being branded as fellow travellers of Transport2000 because of the way they read their own arguments being reflected back to them?

And from their own rereading of their own arguments they decided for themselves that it was bleedin' obvious that they must be.

Not that I would have agreed with them, of course.

Umm, perhaps this explains why so many people take exception to your debating style

Apologies if I offended you without cause.

But I was in the middle of a scrap and you joined in with:

Look Bogush. I remember you from the some of the fuel protest forums and chatrooms from 2000, and found your comments usually informative and invariably well put. But in here for a long while I didn't think it was the same Bogush. Lots of tangential stuff and, excuse me for being blunt, a pointless and unnecessary pissing contest with people who, as far as I can make out, are more or less on the same side as you as far as camera plocies go. Jeez, I don't agree with absolutely everything SafeSpeed says about them, but I'm not fighting about the differences which are largely insignificant. Can't you bury the hatchet?

Try reading this, then:

While I'm inclined to agree with a lot of that, especially on civil leberties in general, IMO it's a bit off topic for a road safety forum. <shrugs> Or maybe not. We're in general chat after all, but the connection to social glue?

Which, at best, came across (to me) as dismissive, and by your own admission was blunt.

In fact, re reading it, it comes across as a backhanded compliment:

You remember...........

But................

So I would hope that I could be forgiven for thinking that you were siding with those ranged against me.

I hope I'm only "bringing it up" in context.

EG In response to others bringing it up.

Or others raising the all on the same side claim.

Or discussing debating styles and tactics.

Or side issues such as freedom, oppression, truth.................

Will you kindly ban us both then?

I'm banning you for feuding, even though your terms were veiled - I know exactly what you're up to.

I have banned lauren o'dare because of a specific request from another forum user.

Can you just ban ANYONE who's posts are so long, they need to be scrolled down to read? I've just read this whole thread, and I'm going cross-eyed.

If you can't make your point in about ten lines, you don't have a coherent point to make.
