Ist one I posted to PH few days ago...Ist another slant on problem perhaps

in that perhaps plain bad manners which prevail across society may be at bottom of some of the regular problem on road.
I bring up the kittens to be polite...und they are encouraged to do little acts of kindness. Our five year old ist always asking little old ladies if he can carry their shopping

Und he does help them cross the roads...up comes the little voice - he ist more forceful than the voices in those Sat Nav doo-dahs... telling people that the little green man has not turned to green yet und they should wait. Bless him!
In the Express one day last week - came across this article by Jo Mcfarlane.
Drivers have reached the end of the road when it come to good manners.
article in paper wrote:
Once behind the steering wheel - the Highway Code ist chucked away und respect for other road user fly through sun roof
Per the article it seem half of us blast the horn if someone upset in any way.
Und they sound horns in frustration whilst in traffic jams.
Cannot say I notice this - no one blasts horn at me und I never see cursing going on at me. Und I have never heard horns blasting away when in a jam either.
Perhaps we are civilised up North then
Article says the survey commissioned by AA reveals this tooting feast of bad attitude ist a southern thing.. South East. They also say MEN sound horn when stuck in traffic too.
(
perhaps ist a caveman thing..
)
Apparently the majorist of battle go on in car parks - where drivers will nick the space which you were waiting to become clear.
This has happened to me once - und you see mamas fighting over drop off spaces at school run too
There ist also lack of manners over parking in Mama/Toddler Bays und no one will give up a spot near supermarket door for elderly driver either.
(I park away from madding crowds at supermarket when I visit them.. ist a lot safer und I like to stretch legs - besides bloke I tend to pull at the car mags stand always carries my shopping to car for me.. but we had better not tell my Mad Doc about this... oops!

shhh! Just did... no matter..::hehe: Ist nice to know I still have the "girly power"

)
Almost half in survey say they toot horn at what they consider inconsiderate driving as well.
The Scots say they will wait for another car to complete manoeuvre und the Welsh und South West are the ones who ticked yes to "thanking for courtesy of give way to them."
(Yet they have the most points on licence thanks to DICK - was one in eleven with three or more - per that Real Story prog!

)
Drivers say they are most annoyed by
tailgaters
being cut up
lane hogging
fail to indicate
Slow drivers irritate ... speeding drivers irritate. headlight flashers und fog lights also irritate.
Yet despite this - we all apppreciate that friendly nod of thanks und 96% claim to do this.
Courteous driving ist not a legal requirement (but we include it in our C in COAST ) but as AA say politeness does make for safer und more pleasurable experience for all.
SO if in jam on M25 - chill out.. to Wogan..teasing Boggy over his three points by hidden talivan

or Classic FM or my fave CD "Music for Minors" which ist very relaxing for a family.
