Feel free to just dive in - your L plate will indicate your "new" status for ten posts - then it's sink or swim! :o

:welcome: Joe :hello:

We are all pro-safe driving and thinking of ways to get things better and back on track - without compromising the sheer pleasure of a good safe drive.

We are also that way inclined on bicycles (me and sometimes my wife  ) and motorbikes (in the case of my wife  )

Look forward to setting the world straight with you!

I'd like to think that anyone interested in driving will find material of interest, and IAM folk especially so.

Ditto.

Yes, we're all learners (or should be) and that includes IAM folk!

Best wishes all,
Dave - an IAM Associate (just).

Welcome indeed! I'm a relative newcomer to this BBS and I enjoy the reasoned views and balanced arguments to be found here. I use Pistonheads and the MGOC BBS's, both of which can, at times, break down into rather childish name-calling - something I haven't yet seen here.
I look forward to comparing views with you in due course... :welcome:

I think if you check it out on Autoroute Express, then Windermere, is more or less halfway between Lands End, and John O'Groats.
It's got lots of Hotels, pubs, and great scenery. The only drawback is some of the muppets that work in the area, and the plethora of grockles who hold temporary residence!!!!
Junction 36 on the M6 will take you north or south to just about anywhere in no more than 5 1/2 - 6 hours!
