Did anyone else see Clarkson read out the accident (KSI) rates on Top Gear last night?

All SCP areas up

Non camera areas down.

Stuff we all know but good to see it out there!

I saw that, he seemed to take great delight in reading it out as well.

Yes, shame that it wasn't outraged anger, and a call for the DfT to explain why their policies are killing so many people.

But it was good advertising, and I'm sure that a few more people will start to question scamera policy.

It was Top Gear, so probably preaching to the converted unfortunately, but maybe they'll have caught the attention of some undecided folks. Good as it was to hear this stuff on the Beeb it would have been better on Panorama, the news, Real Story type programs etc, though if they want my mother-in-law to hear it their only hope is if Alfie Moon mentions it in passing over drinks in the Vic.

All about change management.

First you have to win over your disciples or champions, then let them spread the word. Speed camera issues are in the nation press more and more.

Can you feel it?

Thats exactly it.

Not everyone frequents this site, how many peopel will have known those facts for the first time?

How many people will they tell in work?

What we could do with is a question in parliament? 'Could the minister explain these figures......'

He ought to write it up in his "Sun" and other articles

Oi - Jezza - if yer lurkin'! Don't forget - we deserve our mention!

You have to include over and over again though:

LET'S HEAR FOR PAUL, PAUL AND DELLA!

Oh - and can I have a few COAST plugs please?

And no more witterings over cyclists - they are sensitive souls!

I ride a bike thee knows - and I wear a helmet - in fact - helmets go with the job one way or t'other - our lot wear 'em as beat bobbies, on motorbikes and on the bikes - and if you wanna thrill and wanna have a plug - we police officers don't just ride on pavements - we ride 'em up steps and escalators - just to get our man  But none us would like to fall off while hooning down the stairs in the shopping precinct - without a helmet and some padding in the lycra! .

Puts a whole new meaning to meat and two veg!

Ah, hadn't thought of that. to both. :) Still needs someone on a soap to get pinged for speeding in safe circumstances though. They keep giving us that guff about reflecting reality, and that's certainly a reality these days.
