| Yet the North-easts finest "boys in blue" have only been visible in this area on the straightest, and coincidently, the "fastest" sections of the A90 where it is dual carriageway, and more worryingly, this morning, this vastly overstretched body of men/women could spare 2 officer... |

| It very much depends on which route I take to work. If I take the back roads (B class and unclassified ) I could safely say that I've never seen one.. However if I take the A90 (nice piece of dual carriageway) I may well see them as often as once a month or more frequently even....... Now the cynic ... |

Maybe because I'm only mid 30's I just don't get it , but I voted overrated because I think they were more "of their time " than anything else .
P.S. If its any consilation I think Oasis are shite too ! |

| I can't believe what I'm reading here ! I've been away for a couple of weeks and it looks like I've returned to a different site. I remember not long ago debating that PC Milton wasn't automatically dangerous JUST because of his speed , now everyone seems to be advocating locking this guy up on the ... |

| I still believe cameras, used correctly, are a tool that can improve one aspect of road safety. But all they do is slow cars down for about 100 ft. (usually whether they are above the speed limit or not , had one slow to about 25 on a 40 dual carriageway in front of me last night  ) How is t... |

Quote: I'd sooner pay £35 for having no / illegal number plate than £60 and 3 points for speeding.
I could be wrong but I believe that may only be the case for NO number plate .
Riding with a false one is a far more serious offence , possibly perverting the course of justice (whatever that is ?). |

| As a Driver I treat overtaking a cyclist the same way as overtaking any other slower moving vehicle on the road (horse, tractor moped ......) and give a wide berth accordingly , regardless of width . ( You'd treat a horse with this respect so why not a cyclist !) As a cyclist I like to be overtaking... |

| How many cars have I seen accelerate to get past me - often quite dangerously - and then have to slam their brakes on because they, bizarrely, haven't noticed the queue of traffic just in front of them. Of course it's me that's holding them up as they cut back in front of me and attempt to run me o... |

| I'm glad you made this post . For years I have always wondered what the purpose of those signs were for...... I had wrongly assumed that perhaps I was meant to adjust my own driving in some way or accept driving errors on their part.... :? I can see now that they make sense......... if used correctl... |

| Am I right in thinking that the error would have been in favour of the driver, ie. he could have been going faster? G doesn't it mean he was going almost 50% faster? ie he covered what the machine thought was 1/2 mile in 16 seconds (roughly 109mph) but in fact he'd actually covered 3/4 mile in that... |

I will concede that sometimes he can tend to go off on a tangent , but feel that is just indicative of his obvious passionate nature, I doubt very much that he is the only one who feels like a pawn in a "big game"! | I also read this on Pepipoo. IMHO tragic as this case surely is , the decision taken to race (assuming they were racing) is a personal one , either party at any time could have made the decision to stop. There is too much emphasis on blaming someone else when something goes wrong in todays society, ... |

| I answered none to scamera NIP. I have had one endorsement (81 in a 70) pulled by a police car for being a twat but that was 13 years ago ! However I think this highlights that it is not a desire to race about the countryside at break-neck speeds that fuels MY dislike of the honey-pot that is... |
