Plus I think having to do both tests is a bit of a scam.
How long have they been doing that? What do you guys think about it?
I realise new drivers must be safe on the roads but I still think it's a money thing more than anything else. Maybe I'm wrong. |

| I don't know why I did it. I just got in the lane without thinking. At the time I thought it was just the left hand lane, even though it's a different color :headbash: I'm not a reckless driver or anything. I do try my best. I Just get confused sometimes with places that I haven't been before. Plus ... |

Thanks for the link.
I can see it easy now, but when I go to unfamiliar places then sometimes I get confused with different lights, lanes and whatever. |

I was driving yesterday through a unfamiliar town and came to a junction where I thought I only had to give way. (In the far left lane) So I gave way and then saw the red light ! It occurred to me - what do red lights with camera's on look like ?
Thanks. |

I forgot about this thread on here.
I posted over on the other forum, and it turns out to be a private parking company. So I'm not going to pay my boss for it.

| If you overstayed in the parking location, then yes, pay up. You can always appeal, but if you ignored restrictions then you won't get anywhere. The fine is usually cheaper than £50 if you pay promptly! So I can appeal even though my manager has payed the fine? It was 50 if payed promptly. The stor... |

| I'm not sure if this is in the right section or even applies to this site. But I'll give it a go anyway. I was working on the 5th June. I took the works car into town with a client (I work as a carer). I parked outside a local store and went in with the client because he needed things in there. We w... |

| My sat nav has a speedo on it, so yesterday I tried it and according to that my speedo is out by 4 or 5 mph. The next chance I get, I will check it with one of them speed reading things at the side of the road to make sure my sat nav isn't give me a false reading. Thanks for the advice everyone :) |

| About a month back a car followed me more or less from town to outside my house. I realised he was following me as I turned up into the housing estate where I lived and then into my street. I knew he had been behind me the whole time from town but thought he didn't have an opportunity to overtake or... |

| The road is probably one of the hundreds that have recently been dropped to 40MPH from an NSL. They are often straight, safe roads and drivers who know them well, are used to driving them at 50MPH plus and probaly find them very frustrating at their new lower level. Obviously dropping the limit also... |

| I haven't long passed my test (about six months) and don't want to get caught speeding and have to redo my tests again so I stick to the speed limit 99.9% of the time. However I almost always get queues of cars behind me. I went into town the other day, and there's a road with a 40 limit that goes o... |

| Found this on another site: http://www.2pass.co.uk/gears.htm About Block Gear Changes Some drivers have a habit of always changing through the gears one-by-one (1,2,3,4,5 - 5,4,3,2,1). This habit has stuck with some older drivers from when they originally learned to drive many years ago. Today, in a... |
