Thanks guys, and for the info Steve - he didn't say anything about a section 59 - it was more of a verbal discusion/warning and mentioned that it would go on a database. The PCSO mentioned that he had already got a few drivers in that period. I've got a feeling that the PCSO had the handheld device ...

Hi, yes it was me in the car (around that speed). I was pulled by 2 PCSO's with a handheld speed device. Does anybody know whether Police Community Support Officers report you directly for summons or do they just put it on the Intell database - the officer mentioned just putting it onto a database (...

Hi, thanks. With a court summons do you have to attend in person? What's the likelihood with say 52 in a 30 zone.
Thanks. |

Hi - Does anyone know, if a PCSO (using handheld laser device) catches someone doing say 50 ish mph in a 30 zone (Woods/forestry one side, houses the other) they can take you to court? Do they put your details on a database? - if so, do other officers take you to court? Just wondering about this as ...

Hi all - just a query about speed/traffic camera types in towns - was driving through a town early in the morning (taking the dog out for a walk) and a white flash came from a very small camera which was mounted about 30-35 ft above the ground at the top of a very thin pole - it looked quite like it...

Just on the subject of speed cameras etc, does anyone know what those small blacked out lenses are on top of many traffic lights - are they speed cameras or what?

Hi all - does anyone know how long it typically takes when re-newing your old paper driving licence? - (I've got the original from 1991 with a few points on it at that time - had a bump shortly after my test) - so if I send this one off, presumably the new one comes back updated properly as a clean ...
