| My neighbour and I are a perfect example of this, both 22, both got our licence within 4 months of each other (I got mine first), same experience, same car (1.25 Fiesta, ours is a year newer), next door neighbour so no difference due to postal address, both on our mothers cars, both of them have loy... |

Men insurance claims tend to cost more so therefore all men should pay higher insurance than women.
In that statement change the word 'men' to 'asians' or 'blacks'. Cue outrage and massive fines for insurance company involved. About time this blatant act of sexism was outlawed. |

| In fairness to them, I worked on this when I was in the local Authority (didn't realise what I was actually collecting the data for) but we put a counter up at every site where there was a fatality in the last 10 years, recorded the average speed and if it was higher than the design speed it was fla... |

| Rail definitely has a place in modern transport. Especially when Britain gets an improved high speed connection. I firmly believe that everyone should have to sit in a truck for a few hours as part of their driving test. Those things aren't cars, just because you can drive your 5 series inch perfect... |

| I love the way, more and more inapproriate speed (not appropriate for the road, weather and traffic conditions BUT legal) is being lumped in with speeding (driving at over the posted limit). Is this to make up the one third lie, muddy the waters, due to a lack of understanding of the accident / pro... |

| Hello all, its been a while since I've been on here and lots have happened since. I've left the Emerald Isle for hotter patches in the land down under, I began working as an engineer just a few weeks ago and and just 2 weeks ago I bought my first car, a 3ltr v5 Mitsubishi Magna. | Similar thing happened up my way summer 08, a road which was previously 50kph was reduced to 30kph because there was a school on the road. Never has there been an incident but just because there is a school I accepted it (still don't agree with it). The limit was brought in the week after the school... |

| No, if its black and amber it is only advisory and it is up to you what you do with that information, only the white and red signs are legally binding |

Or no chance to overtake because with the lower limits there is a higher volume of traffic in the zone? |

| I was told by Dr. Ian Walker that, in a survey he conducted, half as much women as men look over their shoulders when cycling, so would therefore be less aware of what is coming behind them and might make a move into a vehicles path. |

| Highway Code 69 under "Rules for Cyclists". You MUST obey all traffic signs and traffic light signals. Law RTA 1988 sections, 24,26,28,29,30 as amended by RTA 1991. Well worth the investment is the Highway Code. Much better than listening to your mates in the pub. :) Sounds right. |

| I was told that a cyclist approaching a T-junction (cyclist on the major route with the minor road on the right) can legally break a red light provide the light is not also a pedestrian light. It makes sense as the lights are for right turning vehicles and vehicles coming from the minor road but I'm... |

Two major issues that I can fully confirm. Think part o... |
