Correct - this has happened to me before by accident (no FP/NIP btw), and also occasionally on purpose when riding my motorbike. |

I was prosecuted by a Magistrates Court for an SP50, was given a 28 day ban and no points. Although, this was on a clean licence, and your previous convictions may well sway the judgement towards the revoking of your licence.
My first suggestion would be to get some legal advice. |

| Think of it this way: The national speed limits apply to all general purpose roads and motorway special roads, reguardless of if that road has a speed limit order set upon it its self. A piece of road can have a speed limit order upon it as well as being subject to the national speed limits. I thin... |

| Going by the roads where I live and the people who fill them up I thought we already had a maximum safe speed. 40mph. It is the speed to be driven everywhere, regardless of conditions or hazards. Drive slower and you will be taken out and stoned, overtake and you are satan's representative on earth... |

| Funny thing is that I use that stretch of the M42 regularly - sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. In VERY heavy traffic it can make things worse - everyone spends so much time watching their speedos to avoid penalties in the restricted sections that they don't spend enough time watching wh... |

| You must have several screws loose to willingly drive through a wall of flames... :loco: Regarding the fog issue, I totally agree - some drivers need to think of more than just themselves! If it's even remotely poor visibility I'll put my lights on, and I avoid using my sidelights because what's the... |

Hmm that's a fair point - unless he got caught under the wheels or something similar... but that isn't mentioned anywhere.
More information needed, I believe! |

| Er, I would have thought that proving somebody had not forgotten something was impossible. Well that's what I thought too, and the fellow telling us about it said that it was a meaningless piece of legislation because such a defence could be used. Although I suppose they could monitor you in some f... |

| An accused person might pretend to have forgotten the password; or he might genuinely have forgotten it but struggle to convince a court to believe him. I attended a lecture about this matter not so long ago, and I was informed there that if you said you had forgotten the encryption key then it was... |

| Hi! First post on the forums, but hopefully it will be useful. Gatso cameras calculate the speed you are doing by the doppler effect - the difference in frequency between the radar signal sent and the one received allows the software in the camera to determine how fast you are going. Speed and veloc... |
