thanks smeggy, was pretty sure i had no chance but had to ask, consolation was that the cop was pretty good, saying if it had been a 40 he would have let me off with a warning and seemed unhappy about the temporary 30 being in place as there was no roadworks going on in that area at all.

Hey people, i was in Scotland in a temporary 30 (should be a 40mph) doing 57 according to the hand held police camera, there was no warning of them being there as they were out of the car which was hidden in a turn off, is it legal for them to be there without warnings, it just seems that they were ...

1st thing they could do is to raise the sign on the left so as drivers could see past the bloody thing from further back, they could also do with giving the grass verge a decent trim back to the left, and tthe last thing would be to make all boyos wear blinkers while they're driving so as not to be ...

Thanks for all the great feedback, we've taken it onboard and have made some chanes which should be on the website soon, P&O ferries are wanting to trial it in december so keep an eye out for it if you travel with them

The camera vans up here are completely unmarked and no that's not what i'm suggesting.
Real coppers will always allow single m/f drivers to see ID or drive to the nearest station.
And no i'm not a copper.

As a regular driver on the A9 I can't see the reason for keeping the speedcams as they are as I and the rest of the north of Scotland know where they are and when we slow down to accomodate these "speedtraps" I very often get flashed at, horns are blasted and various other finger signals a...
