Going eastbound this morning I noticed at least 2 consecutive cars being flashed that seemed to be doing about 40mph, if that!
No doubt the powers that be will be consulting their favourite enforcement advice company to ensure the fines are collected from their totally reliable cash collectors? |

Had one on the Southbound side of the bridge immediately south of Killington Services. Not one of the original bridges.
Also seen a few times at "The Hill", Millom enforcing the 30mph, Milnthorpe Rd, Kendal outward.
The Ings one by the bus shelter is of course a complete joke |

I think they're getting more aggressive again. Saw one at 5.10pm in Ulverston (usual place near cemetary) and they're certainly locating the vans for money making. Although seen on A66, they are not at a place where accidents have happened but on the verge at Flusko where there aren't any junctions.

On 8th August I saw another of our yellow perils on a bridge near J37 of the M6. Of course there's nothing unusual in that except that it was a bridge that wasn't on the original list. This suggests they're trying to catch those who have SatNav's with databases of known sites, of which this bridge i...

Seen 2 in the last week: The Hill near Millom and Barrow Island probably 4 sightings in the last month, one was in north Cumbria Maybe an upturn in enforcement? The one at the Hill was in a wide stretch of road which has only been made 30mph for a couple of years. very easy to drift over 30mph whils...

See the occasional one on the A590 between Kendal and Barrow. All Yellow livery. Much rarer now since the change at the top last year.

I understand he was traveling from Keswick to Millom. If he was using a TomTom device, he must have selected "shortest route" as the normal "quickest route" would not have taken him that way. Similar to the coach driver who took the "struggle" route from Kirkstone Pass ...

What a nice journey it's going to be with these new changes at Banneriggs. There will be nowhere to overtake a tractor between Ambleside & Plantation Bridge. I wonder if our esteemed leaders have thought that this will only increase frustration, which may manifest itself in risk taking. It certa...

I was quietly ordering a steak canadian sandwich and a cup of tea this morning when some Utilities employees arrived. One said: "any of you boys HGV drivers? Because one have my mates has just been 'done' by the westbound camera on the A590 at witherslack (eastbound currently has no power to it...

Thanks for the quick replies, I've been meaning to come on here for ages, but never got round to it. I have been in contact with Paul Smith before though. My wife and I drove round Europe last September (Denmark, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Holland). No other country has ANYTHING LIKE our...

Hi, New to the forum, I live in South Lakeland and mainly drive a white van. I also use a SatNav system to help keep my licence whilst driving appropriately with regard to road conditions, traffic and time of day/night. Clearly I'm the target they are looking for, according to one of their press rel...
