Hi there, Its pretty obvious to understand that UK speed cameras are placed in areas where they can attract the most revenue. However, as Im from North Wales, I try to kep my anger to myself as best I can, However, a section of roadworks has been installed on the A55 towards Chester and the speed li...

The thing is though I know it varies nationally, but especially here in North Wales, almost ALL talivans are hidden behind trees and bushes. (very good business sense for maximising revenue) Almost all talivans that I pass probably see the motorist before the motorist sees them. I find it odd when p...

Now please forgive me if this feels like a plug, I am not involved with this company at all, Basically, I understand that many speed camera jammers are the only real way to avoid tallivans raking the cash in. Laser detectors for instance, often beep but by the time you'e been warned, it may be too l...

Hi there, Another hypothetical question but.... what happens if you recieve an NIP for 34mph or below and you get offered a speed awareness course which you reject? I know they dont HAVE to follow the 10% + 2 , but I thought that was neccesery for a sucessful prossecution in court? I have heard that...

Thanks Everyone. I understand that the fully calibrated cameras have to be accrurate by 2mph, which is why I try and stay below a TRUE 77mph. - So if I get caught doing a TRUE 76, It could be recorded that I was doing 78mph. I was just a bit unsure about the realibility of the sat-nav. I understand ...

Hi there, I regulary travel at 80mph on the motorway whn it is safe to do so. I do this with the knowledge that I wouldnt be prosecuted by a mobile/speed camera as my TRUE speed was nearer to 75/76mph. i,e beloew the prosecution limit of 79mph. However, I have recently read a reply from forum member...

Yeah it is UK plates and car is registered in my name, It may sound strange but I am not looking to get away with the points by providing my american license. I just don't want to be in more trouble than the 3 points and 60 GBP fine. EEEK - am I hearing this right? You were presumably driving perfe...

OP.... my own thoughts would be to name yourself as the driver on the NIP. And then provide the scamra parnership with your Amercian licence details and American address is you still have one. If you do this, you would escape any points and possibily even the fine, as they are not legally entitled t...

Another thing to point ask is; if you were in my situation, what would YOU do? I would go into reception and ask them to get someone to remove it. I would keep asking until they did so. Best find out who (or which organisation) actually put the sticker on your car. They did the damage, they should ...

It's not I am parking in disabled areas, its just a place where supposed signs say you cant park there after 3.30pm. I have always parked there until 4pm, and yesterday was the first time the little hitlers gave me a sticker. So you admit you are parked in contravention of the regulations? I assume...

Any other ideas? Yes, grow up and stop acting like a petulant child. Putting a sticker on your car is highly unlikely to be classifed as criminal damage as no actual 'damage' has been done. Yes it is, as it is temporary damage. Criminal damage doesn't have to be permanent. Please see section 1 of t...

Another question is that, I often see tallivans arriving home after a days revenue collection, ... would I under law, be allowed to drive in front of them, blatently doing 10-15 mph UNDER the limit.. ( or perhaps gesturing at them with two fingers or raising my hands like a 'wad of cash' at them) W...

Roll clingfilm over the outside of your window. They'll have to stick the stickers to that, then you can take it off, and replace it each time you park there!  I might try that. I'm definately not moving where I park. The stickers are rather expensive, so fool them I say. I have however,...

Hi there, Just a quick question or two... Everytime I drive past tallivans (often hidden) I get really tempted to stick two fingers up at the vans. I know that this may sound rather childish, but I always get an extreme urge to do so. What I would like to ask is.... do they have significent powers t...

Cameras are bad enough, but there is something even more creepy about some person hiding away inside a camera van peeking through a laser gun. It's just so sneaky. OI :trolls: Are you honestly a camera operator? Was that your dream job when you were little, or did you just turn into a failu...

Take photographs of the sticker and any resulting damage for a start. Thanks I'll do that. But another problem is the fact that I pan to park there tommorow, simply because the alternative spaces is a 15 minute walk ( its ridiculous!) I suppose I'll just let them stick one on top of the other. But ...

Hi there, Im in college and have always parked in the same place each day. However, today my car was stickered beacsue I was 5 minutes late after some 'signs' in the college car park said parking was allowed. I was even advised to park here by the tutors. The problem is the sticker. It is bright ora...
